It's that time of year when I like to take his students fishing. I've scheduled a fishing field trip to Montrose Harbor on May 4th, 2018 and I need 10 Chaperones who aren't afraid to help unhook and release fish caught by students. Please email me at [email protected] if you can make it. I'm looking for any and all who can attend. Thanks in advance for helping with this trip. Permission Slip Dear Room 324 Parents/Guardians,

The PTA book fair starts tomorrow. Students are scheduled to come to the fair with their classes. Please make sure to send money with your children if they plan on buying books at the fair. Prices listed on the flyers don't include sales tax. Please send enough money to cover sales tax. If you have a child on the first floor, please send money in a plastic bag or an envelope. It is best to label the bag or envelope with your child's name and dollar amount. Parents and staff are welcome to shop at the fair while the fair is open. Please note that hours vary depending on the day. We will also be open on report card pick up day which is Wednesday, April 18th. We need volunteers each day of the fair. Parents are needed on the floor to help younger students find books. If you are interested, please respond to this email as soon as possible. A revised class schedule is attached to this email. If you have a child on the first floor, please refer to this schedule instead of the one sent home on Friday since there were several changes made to it over the weekend. Thank you for your support! Disney Magnet PTA Parents, Please see the class calendar for dates and times for 324 class. Earles The ability to read aloud with ease and confidence is a part of your child’s development. You can help your child perfect this skill by making reading aloud a part of daily family life. The following suggestions will help strengthen your child’s reading skills.
After-Dinner Reading Develop a family reading habit. After dinner, for example, a family member could read a story, article, or poem aloud while the others clean up. Be sure to switch the reading role frequently—have a new reader every five or ten minutes, or pick a new reader each night. Reread Favorites Keep a list of the readings that your child enjoys most. Once a week, encourage your child to pick one of these items and re-read it. You will probably notice a strong improvement each time your child reads the same item—practice makes perfect! Thanks in advance, Rod Earles Dear Disney staff and families, Thank you for clipping and turning in your Box Tops. We have raised just over $800 this year! The PTA uses this money to fund field trip buses for every grade. We will receive one more check this school year for every Box Top that is turned in BEFORE March 1st. This gives us 4 more weeks to collect as many as we can! Also check out https://www.boxtops4education.com for coupons and product lists. We have attached a collections sheet. You may attach them to a sheet or put them in plastic bags. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any expired Box Tops. There are a number of ways you can turn in your Box Tops: 1. Put them in your children's folders so they can give them to their classroom teachers. 2. Place them in the Box Top collection bins in the CAC and the CAC dining room. 3. Place them in the PTA mail box located in the main office. Thank you for your support and happy clipping! Disney Magnet PTA
